Continuing Care Assistant Resident Support
Alderwood Rest Home
Support Alderwood residents through personal care, daily living assistance, and respectful communication while working in person across 12-hour shifts.
As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will promote holistic care and independence within your employment scope and Continuing Care Assistant standards. The work requires resident-focused accountability, collaboration with Alderwood team members, and attention to mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and social needs. Full-time, part-time, permanent, and casual options are available.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care, bathing, dressing, and ambulation assistance
Support repositioning, activities, and resident programming
Communicate clearly and professionally with residents and coworkers
Monitor behaviour changes and consult RN or LPN when required
Document and report according to Alderwood policies
Requirements:
Resident-focused accountability and collaborative work practices
Ability to recognize common chronic illnesses
Ability to respond to diverse resident needs
Commitment to respectful, professional behaviour
Willingness to attend relevant in-services
Bring personal care, observation, documentation, and compassionate resident support skills to Alderwood’s Continuing Care Assistant team.
