Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited is seeking a Transportation Planner for Flex Coverage on its P&H Milling team. The position supports continuity when planners are absent, requiring organized transitions between assignments and accurate shipment updates. Daily work includes coordinating drivers, carriers, production, customer service, and other internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan daily shipments around customer needs, products, and equipment
Tender assigned loads to third-party carriers
Monitor carrier performance and manage accessorial charges
Coordinate schedule updates with drivers and carriers
Coordinate planning handoffs and maintain coverage notes
Requirements:
Minimum three years in transportation planning and dispatch
Experience dispatching local drivers and planning loads
Strong organization, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to manage changing priorities and short-notice coverage
Clear teamwork with drivers, carriers, and internal teams
Use logistics planning, load coordination, and dispatch communication skills to sustain P&H Milling transportation coverage in Cambridge.
