Apply property accounting expertise at Primaris REIT’s Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, Ontario, with Excel and retail real estate reporting at the core.
This Property Accountant opportunity may be filled at Property Accountant or Senior Property Accountant level. You will provide accurate accounting for Primaris’ retail real estate portfolio while serving internal and external clients. Monthly reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:

Complete month-end closes and actual-to-budget variance analysis
Prepare GST, QST, audit packages, and financial statements
Reconcile bank accounts and liaise with auditors
Prepare tenant recoveries, realty tax billings, and cost statements
Develop operating and capital budgets and support acquisitions
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field
Earned or pursuing a professional accounting designation
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
ERP experience; Yardi preferred
Accurate, reliable, flexible, and deadline focused
