Private Funds Compliance Director Sagard

Sagard seeks a Director, Compliance to oversee private fund requirements, regulatory filings, and compliance reviews across global alternative investment strategies.
This senior compliance leader will work across venture capital, private equity, private credit, real estate, secondaries, and co-investments. You will support private fund advisers, product development, M&A integration, portfolio transactions, and investor communications. The work requires strong knowledge of SEC and Canadian regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee compliance across Sagard’s alternative investment strategies
Review investor communications, marketing materials, DDQs, and RFPs
Advise on conflicts, allocation, fees, valuation, and side letters
Support private fund rules, custody, marketing, and recordkeeping requirements
Coordinate diligence involving managers, borrowers, sponsors, and partners
Requirements:
Seven to twelve years of regulatory and compliance experience
Significant experience with U.S. private funds and alternative strategies
Familiarity with private equity, credit, real estate, and fund-of-funds
Strong understanding of conflicts, marketing, valuation, and investor reporting
Experience preparing testing, annual reviews, and regulatory filings
Bring private funds compliance expertise and cross-strategy knowledge to Sagard’s international alternative investment management business.
