Building Automation Controls Engineer
gbi
Design high-performance building control systems with gbi as a Controls and Automation Engineer supporting intelligent buildings projects. Flexible work arrangements, including remote work, are available.
Within gbi’s Intelligent Buildings team and Building Automation group, you will support institutional, commercial, industrial, and municipal projects. You will work alongside senior engineers while contributing to early-career professional development. Key expertise includes mechanical building systems, control strategies, commissioning, and Division 25 specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design automation systems for mechanical building systems
Develop project-specific control strategies and sequences
Document control logic and system operation sequences
Select valves, transmitters, and variable frequency drives
Support commissioning, quality control, and drawing reviews
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or control engineering
Professional engineering association membership in good standing
Minimum 10 years’ building automation and controls experience
Strong understanding of mechanical building control systems
French and English proficiency with a valid driver’s licence
