Commercial Property Senior Accountant
Accounting & Finance
Commercial property accounting meets financial analysis in this full-time, in-office Senior Accountant role with Ravelin in Halifax or St. John's.
Reporting to the Controller, you will manage reporting for a commercial property portfolio. The work spans financial statements, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow. You will collaborate with Property Management, Asset Management, Development, Finance, and Leasing teams to provide accurate information for business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts
Support budgeting and quarterly forecasting across property operations
Monitor assigned property cash flow and capital requirements
Analyze leases, rent schedules, revenue recognition, and leasing costs
Requirements:
CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Commercial property accounting experience is ideal
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
Familiarity with CAM reconciliations and lease interpretation
Bring reporting, analysis, budgeting, and property accounting expertise to Ravelin's evolving commercial real estate portfolio.
