Medicine and Healthcare Instructor
Circuit Stream
Teach medicine and healthcare in person at Carleton University, using case studies and hands-on activities to engage teenagers aged 13–17.
Circuit Stream seeks a healthcare practitioner, educator, researcher, or Masters/PhD student for its Foundations of Medicine and Healthcare curriculum. You will facilitate discussions, interpret patient information, explore healthcare careers, and explain health-science concepts clearly. Provided lessons and resources support your instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver the provided Foundations of Medicine and Healthcare curriculum
Guide medical case studies, scenarios, and hands-on activities
Explain healthcare careers and concepts for teenage beginners
Maintain inclusive classrooms with appropriate behavior management
Supervise activities and communicate learner support needs
Requirements:
Professional, academic, clinical, or research healthcare experience
Completed healthcare Bachelor's degree or Masters/PhD in progress
Strong communication and classroom facilitation skills
Enjoyment of working actively with teenagers
Availability for all listed weekday summer teaching dates
Bring healthcare knowledge, clear facilitation, and mentorship to Circuit Stream students exploring medicine and future career paths.
