K-7 Learning Support Teacher

Support K-7 learners through evidence-based literacy, numeracy, and inclusive instruction as a 1.0 FTE Elementary Learning Support Teacher.
School District 71 seeks an Elementary Learning Support Teacher for its School-Based Team. The LST supports students experiencing learning challenges through consultation, assessment-informed planning, targeted intervention, and direct instruction. The teacher collaborates with families, classroom teachers, school teams, district personnel, and community agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and targeted intervention
Deliver evidence-based literacy and numeracy interventions
Develop and monitor IEPs, SSPs, and PBSPs
Conduct educational assessments and interpret assessment data
Support inclusive practices, accommodations, and adaptations
Requirements:
Valid BC Teaching Certificate
Degree or diploma in inclusive or special education
Training or experience supporting diverse learning needs
Experience with educational assessments, including Level B
Elementary teaching experience and BC curriculum knowledge
Bring collaborative consultation, assessment, and intervention expertise to advance equitable learning and participation for K-7 students.
