Development Applications Engineering Technician
Brantford
Support development application reviews, infrastructure coordination, and public meetings as a Development Engineering Technician in Brantford’s hybrid workplace.
The City of Brantford’s Community Development Department seeks a Development Review Technician for its Planning and Development Services. Reporting to the Project Manager, Development, you will assist with minor applications and technical submissions. Strong communication, time management, and engineering document interpretation are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comments on Committee of Adjustment applications
Ensure infrastructure aligns with adjacent developments
Review site plans against municipal and Provincial regulations
Attend meetings with Council offices and external agencies
Perform background research and maintain development databases
Requirements:
Two-year Civil Engineering Technician diploma or equivalent education
Three years’ engineering design experience in a municipal setting
C.Tech designation or ability to obtain it
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple demands
Combine development review, municipal infrastructure, and communication skills while representing the City of Brantford in technical discussions.
