Remote Rail Project Coordinator

Coordinate rail projects remotely for Cando using project planning, stakeholder communication, and operational improvement skills across Canada.
The Project Coordinator supports Cando’s project management team through every project phase, from scoping and proposals to execution, training, and ongoing performance. You will help develop strategies for new and existing operations while maintaining safety, quality, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder satisfaction. The work includes coordination, administration, compliance, and operational handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate planning, execution, and closeout phases for projects
Review processes and recommend efficiency improvements
Manage subcontractor credentials, requirements, and documentation
Maintain regulatory, HSSE, and QA/QC compliance
Track finances, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder satisfaction
Requirements:
Working knowledge of project management principles and service delivery
Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills
Advanced Office 365 and project software proficiency
Industrial experience in railway, marine, refinery, or related environments
Ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States
Bring rail operations knowledge, structured coordination, and safety-focused execution to Cando’s remote project team.
