Water Wastewater Operations Supervisor
Ontario Clean Water Agency
Water and wastewater operations leadership awaits at OCWA in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, coordinating maintenance, compliance, and facility services. This is a regular, full-time position.
As Operations Supervisor, you will plan, coordinate, administer, and oversee operational and maintenance activities within the Kirkland Lake Cluster. You will provide team leadership while supporting compliance with operational agreements, legislation, acts, and regulations. The work includes project scheduling, asset management, regulatory response, and operational problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee water and wastewater operations and maintenance activities
Coordinate projects, staffing, schedules, and facility improvements
Supervise, train, direct, and assign staff work activities
Act as Overall Responsible Operator or Operator in Charge
Assess emergencies, construction completion, complaints, and contractor invoices
Requirements:
Valid Class 1 facility-specific water or wastewater certification
Willingness to obtain the facility’s highest certification level
Valid Class G licence and regional travel availability
Availability for overtime and rotating after-hours on-call response
Knowledge of legislation, treatment processes, equipment, controls, and asset management
