Part Time Registered Practical Nurse
Extendicare
Provide person-centred nursing care as a part-time Registered Practical Nurse with Extendicare, supporting residents through assessments, treatments, and care planning.
Reporting to the Director of Care or Director of Health and Wellness, the Registered Practical Nurse delivers planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed care. You will collaborate with interprofessional teams, residents, families, physicians, and service providers while following provincial standards and Extendicare policies. The role includes documentation, medication administration, education, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct resident care and administer medications and treatments
Complete accurate assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation
Implement, evaluate, and update resident care plans
Coordinate care assignments for timely nursing service delivery
Respond to significant condition changes and medical emergencies
Requirements:
Registered Practical Nurse qualification
Ability to follow provincial standards of care
Ability to work within regulatory requirements and scope
Ability to teach and direct unregulated care providers
Commitment to Extendicare's ethics, morality, and integrity
Support Extendicare residents through skilled nursing care, medication administration, documentation, collaboration, and responsive clinical decision-making.
