Provide perinatal nursing care at Scarborough Health Network’s General Site as a part-time Registered Nurse covering days and nights. Assess maternal and newborn needs throughout family-centred care.
Reporting to the Family Birthing Centre manager, this Registered Nurse delivers care in a multidisciplinary, family-centred level 2c environment. The position covers antepartum, labour, delivery, and postpartum care for pregnant people, newborns, and families. SHN supports continuous education opportunities and workshops for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:

Assess maternal and newborn health needs
Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
Provide antepartum and postpartum nursing care
Support families during labour and delivery
Advocate for patients and their families
Requirements:

Hold current Ontario Registered Nurse registration in good standing
Maintain current BCLS certification
Complete current NRP and fetal monitoring requirements
Bring breastfeeding experience or course completion
Work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
Apply family-centred assessment, labour and delivery, and maternal-newborn nursing expertise at SHN’s Family Maternity Centre.
