RGN Diabetes Management Specialist

Use RGN expertise to manage adult diabetes care across Type 1 and Type 2 presentations. The ongoing post offers hybrid, full-time, or part-time working.
The Countywide Diabetes Service is recruiting a Band 6/7 Diabetes Specialist Nurse for its specialist nurse-led service. Based in Peterborough, this position combines independent clinical practice with multidisciplinary collaboration. The focus includes non-complex Type 1 cases, Type 2 management, education, and detailed records.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialist care for adults with diabetes
Manage non-complex Type 1 diabetes presentations
Develop individualized plans for positive health outcomes
Reassess evolving clinical needs and adjust care
Record clinical information to professional healthcare standards
Requirements:
Current NMC registration as a registered nurse
Strong nursing credentials and significant diabetes experience
Specialist service experience preferred
Experience managing non-complex Type 1 diabetes
Capacity to lead independently and collaborate multidisciplinary
Use RGN registration, diabetes management, and multidisciplinary nursing skills to support adults through the Countywide Diabetes Service in Peterborough.
