Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Canadian Nuclear Laboratories
Strategic sourcing specialist with supplier negotiation and RFP expertise, working fully remotely across Canada for CNL’s nuclear science organization.
This Senior Contracts Officer manages complex procurements involving goods and services, suppliers, internal clients, and technical experts. You will design sourcing approaches, issue solicitations, evaluate submissions, negotiate agreements, and manage procurement risks. The position supports fair, transparent, policy-aligned outcomes for CNL.
Key Responsibilities:
Design sourcing processes and issue RFPI, RFEOI, RFP, and RFPQ documents
Build strategic relationships with aligned key suppliers
Negotiate terms, discounts, volume rebates, and supply arrangements
Lead bidders meetings and commercial evaluation teams
Identify, assess, mitigate, and manage procurement risks
Requirements:
Business administration, supply chain, engineering, or contract education
Training or experience in relationship management and negotiation
Understanding of pricing models, contract interpretation, and contract risks
Ability to lead teams through influence rather than authority
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Word and Excel
Use strategic sourcing, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and supplier relationship skills within CNL’s fully remote procurement function.
