Merchandise Planning Analyst Retail

Analyze retail sales and margins as a Merchandise Planning Analyst with La Vie en Rose. Build forecasts, purchasing strategies, and promotional scenarios.
Reporting to the Merchandise Planning Manager, you will support a designated category and its financial objectives. The work includes forecasting sales, planning inventory, reviewing purchases, and recommending actions. Collaboration with merchandising departments, store visits, and clear reporting are central to the position.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop sales and margin plans for designated categories
Analyze results and recommend future buying strategies
Create promotional scenarios to optimize sales opportunities
Recommend markdowns by style, colour, and performance
Prepare reports and review purchases against budgets
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in administration, Finance, or related field
Two to three years' similar retail experience
Knowledge of complex Excel applications
Bilingual French and English communication skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Bring analytical rigor, Excel knowledge, and bilingual communication to merchandise planning for La Vie en Rose retail categories.
