Natural Gas Marketing Accountant

Build expertise in energy finance by analyzing natural gas transactions, commodity results, and transportation costs through detailed accounting support.
This entry-level Marketing Accounting position is designed for a recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree. You will support financial reporting for physical natural gas and natural gas liquids marketing. Daily work includes reconciliations, variance analysis, data validation, and recurring reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze monthly revenue and balance sheet variances
Prepare journal entries and recurring reports using SAP
Track transportation and midstream commitments, utilization, and costs
Validate data from Marketing, Risk, and third parties
Maintain procedures and identify process improvements
Requirements:
Recent Bachelor's graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Strong interest in energy marketing and financial reporting
Experience with SAP S/4HANA or ETRM is an asset
Understanding of accruals and variance analysis
Accuracy, adaptability, and ability to meet monthly deadlines
Develop natural gas accounting expertise through commodity analysis, transportation tracking, SAP reporting, and disciplined financial reconciliation.
