CapWest seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator for civil construction excavation projects in Tsawwassen, South Cambie, or Pitt Meadows. The role requires experience with excavators, bulldozers, compactors, and related machinery. Operators support grading, material handling, compaction, utility-adjacent work, and municipal road cleanup across active jobsites.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate excavators for stripping, stockpiling, ditching, and loading
Grade soil using bulldozers and appropriate lift thicknesses
Compact materials according to Geotechnical Engineer recommendations
Operate machinery safely near existing utilities
Complete equipment checks, cleaning, lubrication, and refuelling
Requirements:

Grade 12 education
At least three years of civil construction operating experience
Valid British Columbia driver’s licence
Knowledge of site grading concepts
Ability to differentiate between soil types
