Deliver post-anesthesia nursing care at Maples Surgical Centre as a casual Registered Nurse, using assessment and critical thinking daily. Day shifts are available.
Maples Surgical Centre, a Clearpoint Health Network division, seeks an RN for its post-anesthesia care unit. The Registered Nurse assesses, treats, and educates patients undergoing and recovering from surgical procedures. This work requires nursing processes, problem solving, decision making, patient advocacy, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and educate surgical patients
Document patient care accurately in medical records
Follow infection control and medication procedures
Collaborate and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
Support facility orientation and educational programs
Requirements:
Accredited nursing education and two to three years acute care experience
Active or eligible Manitoba nursing registration and practice permit
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred
Ability to manage physical demands and changing patient conditions
Bring post-anesthesia assessment, patient education, and critical thinking skills to Clearpoint Health Network’s surgical care team.
