This full-time, permanent Journalist vacancy focuses on accurate reporting for Sherwood Park and Strathcona County. The position requires strong writing, digital fluency, and the ability to tailor stories for print and web. You will experiment with new storytelling approaches, meet tight deadlines, and help readers understand their region.
Key Responsibilities:
Tailor reporting and writing for print and web platforms
Break news through timely, accurate regional coverage
Develop short and longform stories for readers
Find stories affecting Leduc, Beaumont, and Devon
Build sources and expertise to set the agenda
Requirements:
Community news experience in a deadline-oriented role
Fluency with digital platforms, multimedia journalism, and social media
Excellent news judgment and accurate, clean reporting
Ability to initiate stories and enterprise features
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
