Senior Financial Analyst R&D Finance

Support Samsara’s remote Canada team as a Senior Financial Analyst focused on R&D finance, forecasting, and advanced financial analysis.
Partner with Software and Firmware Engineering leaders on headcount, software, and AI vendor spend. Analyze results, prepare management reporting, and improve forecasting accuracy. You will support month-end close, AOP planning, financial reviews, and performance analysis while helping govern AI spend across R&D.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage headcount, software, and AI vendor spending
Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting
Support month-end close and cost classification
Collaborate with R&D teams on AOP planning
Improve financial reporting and forecasting models
Requirements:
Three or more years in FP&A or strategic finance
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
Experience at a high-growth technology company
Strong communication and senior-management presentation skills
Bring financial modeling, cross-functional partnership, and analytical rigor to Samsara’s R&D finance organization in Canada.
