Earth Sciences Laboratory Demonstrator

Apply Earth Sciences knowledge as a Laboratory Demonstrator at Brock University, demonstrating techniques and supporting students during campus laboratory sessions.
Reporting to the Senior Lab Instructor, this position supports laboratory instruction for ERSC coursework. The workload is 10 hours weekly, including demonstrating, marking, and preparation. The successful candidate must understand laboratory procedures and complete ERSC 3P90 or an equivalent course.
Key Responsibilities:

Present introductions to laboratory sessions
Demonstrate laboratory techniques to students
Teach and assist students during labs
Maintain safe laboratory conditions
Prepare, clean up, and mark lab reports
Requirements:

Hold an MSc in Earth Sciences
Or currently enroll in a graduate Earth Sciences program
Complete ERSC 3P90 or an equivalent course
Be familiar with laboratory procedures
Attend meetings as needed
Support Earth Sciences laboratory learning at Brock University through demonstration, student assistance, preparation, safety, and marking responsibilities.
