Create customer-focused cake designs and specialty bakery items as a Bakery Decorator with Whole Foods Market, applying artistic precision daily.
In this Bakery Decorator position, you will develop special-order designs, decorate cakes and pastries, and merchandise finished products. Success requires customer service, suggestive selling, effective communication, recipe accuracy, and organized time management. The position also supports apprentices and follows food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design special-order cakes according to customer preferences
Build, ice, and decorate bakery products for business demand
Provide timely service, answer phones, and model suggestive selling
Showcase products and verify signage and pricing accuracy
Complete production, spoilage, and adjusted production records
Requirements:
Strong cake and pastry decorating abilities
Experience with Swiss, American, and other specified icings
Clear, respectful communication with customers, vendors, and Team Members
Completion of Bakery Decorator Apprentice training or equivalent experience
Professional bakery or grocery retail experience preferred
