Ferrous Materials Inspection Coordinator
American Iron & Metal (AIM)
Coordinate ferrous material quality at American Iron & Metal while inspecting grades, contaminants, and hazardous materials. Work Monday-Friday on rotating shifts.
This Inspector position supports AIM’s Ferrous team through material inspection and yard coordination. You will identify non-conforming materials, verify customer specifications, direct inbound trucks, and complete daily site checks. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals are required.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify quality issues, contaminants, and hazardous materials
Direct inbound trucks to safe, efficient yard locations
Perform daily quality and site inspections
Coordinate sorting and proper handling within the yard
Support inspection training on quality, procedures, and safety
Requirements:
Experience inspecting materials within metal recycling is desirable
Knowledge of metal properties and common contaminants
Experience using measurement and inspection equipment
Comfort working in heavy industrial conditions
Ability to work across varying weather conditions
Use ferrous materials knowledge, inspection judgment, and safe coordination to support accurate yard quality decisions at American Iron & Metal.
