Personal Support Worker Toronto Western Hospital

Support patients at Toronto Western Hospital through daily living assistance, delegated care, and accurate documentation within an inter-professional team. This permanent full-time position includes eight-hour day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
UHN seeks a Personal Support Worker for the 5A FELL Spinal/Neurosurgery department, reporting to the Nurse Manager. The role requires current HSCPOA registration, BCLS certification, excellent computer skills, and physical ability for frequent movement. Acute care or rehabilitation experience and behavioral management training are assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with feeding, lifts, transfers, bathing, and toileting
Provide skin care and oral hygiene support
Perform delegated tasks after appropriate education and training
Communicate basic information according to established care plans
Document records, progress notes, and safety concerns
Requirements:
Current HSCPOA registration
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate
Excellent computer skills
Ability to manage daily mild to moderate physical exertion
Good attendance record required
