Crisis Response Centre Support Worker
Shared Health-Soins Communs
Provide client and family support at Shared Health’s Crisis Response Centre in Winnipeg. This in-person clinical role includes days and weekend shifts.
As a Crisis Worker, you will collaborate with the CRC/CSU Clinical Team under the direction of clinical team leaders and managers. Your work supports individuals in mental health or psychosocial crisis through monitoring, documentation, relationship maintenance, and premises support. Candidates need two years of para-professional mental health experience supporting adults with mental illness. Relevant knowledge includes Recovery Oriented Guidelines, Trauma Informed Care, Mental Health Promotion, Suicide Prevention Initiatives, and applicable legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor clients and provide family support
Collaborate with CRC/CSU clinical team members
Maintain effective working relationships
Document client-related information and activities
Complete premises maintenance and assigned duties
Requirements:
Two years’ required experience supporting adults with mental illness
Understanding of Trauma Informed Care
Familiarity with relevant mental health legislation
Mental Health First Aid and ASIST certificates or willingness
Computer skills with Word, Outlook, and EMR
Use clinical collaboration, crisis support, monitoring, and documentation skills while serving clients at Winnipeg’s Crisis Response Centre.
