Freelance Video Editor – Comedy Channel

Join a dynamic YouTube comedy channel as a freelance video editor and shooter, contributing to the revival of engaging online content. This part-time, contract-based, on-site role involves creating and editing a variety of formats, including reaction videos, mini-documentaries, podcast episodes, and social media clips. You will collaborate closely to capture and shape content that resonates with audiences, ensuring comedic timing, clean storytelling, and platform-optimized formatting. Reference materials and style guides will be provided to align with the channel’s unique comedic voice and visual identity.
Deliverables
Edit long-form and short-form videos for YouTube, ensuring strong comedic pacing and narrative clarity
Repurpose podcast and documentary footage into compelling clips for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok
Add captions and graphics where appropriate to enhance engagement and accessibility
Operate camera equipment for in-person shoots, capturing high-quality footage for various content types
Collaborate on creative direction and incorporate feedback to refine edits and maintain consistency with the channel’s style
Deliver final assets in platform-ready formats, adhering to technical specifications for each social platform
Requirements
Proven experience editing comedy, reaction, podcast, documentary, or creator-channel content, with a portfolio showcasing both long-form and short-form work
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
Strong sense of comedic timing, pacing, and visual storytelling
Experience with documentary-style editing and social-first content creation
Ability to operate camera equipment for on-site shoots
Familiarity with formatting and optimizing content for YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a creative environment
Availability for part-time, on-site contract work in a flexible, project-based capacity
