Support undergraduate Mathematics students at Brock University through teaching, marking, and course administration on campus as needed. Apply teaching and research experience in Mathematics or Statistics.
This Teaching Assistant appointment follows the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1 Collective Agreement. Applicants should hold a PhD in Mathematics or a related discipline; applicants with an MSc in Mathematics or Statistics may be considered if no PhD applicants apply. The work includes scheduled student contact and non-classroom academic support.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare seminar materials for assigned undergraduate courses
Consult with students during scheduled support times
Mark or grade assigned coursework and examinations
Proctor examinations and attend scheduled lectures
Hold office hours and complete course administration
Requirements:

PhD in Mathematics or related discipline preferred
MSc in Mathematics or Statistics may be considered
Prior Mathematics or Statistics teaching experience
Prior Mathematics or Statistics research experience
Evidence of effective undergraduate university teaching
