Operating Room Registered Practical Nurse

Support complex surgical care at Toronto General Hospital as a Registered Practical Nurse with operating room experience and perioperative training.
UHN seeks a Registered Practical Nurse for its 21-theatre Operating Room department. The permanent full-time position serves adult inpatient and outpatient patients across cardiovascular, thoracic, transplant, oncology, and other surgical services. Nurses document perioperative care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patient- and family-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to patient assessment processes
Implement care plans and provide limited interventions
Act as a patient advocate
Perform assigned scrub nurse duties
Attend seminars and workshops for professional growth
Requirements:
Recognized Operating Room Perioperative course completion
Two to four years of current Operating Room experience
Registered Practical Nursing program completion
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
Bring perioperative nursing, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to UHN’s Toronto General Hospital Operating Room.
