FPGA Lead Space Systems

FPGA architecture and leadership define this opportunity with MDA Space, developing designs for robotics, radar imaging, and telecommunications applications.
The FPGA Lead reports to the FPGA Manager and leads development for one or more space-application FPGAs. The work connects system, software, board, and test engineering through requirements, architecture, integration, and verification. It includes VHDL, synthesis, placement and routing, laboratory support, and mentoring.
Responsabilités clés:
Translate higher-level requirements into FPGA requirements and architectures
Plan staged FPGA deliveries for integration and testing
Ensure interface control documents are produced and adequate
Support functional verification and laboratory activities
Guide and mentor junior team members
Qualifications requises:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Fifteen or more years designing or architecting FPGAs or ASICs
Technical leadership experience with an FPGA development team
Knowledge of Synplify, ModelSim, Vivado, and Libero
French communication skills; English is ideally also required
Lead space FPGA development through architecture, VHDL design, integration, verification, and technical guidance at MDA Space.
