Control Systems Specialist Timmins
Discovery Mining Ltd
Support industrial control systems at Discovery’s Dome site near Timmins, maintaining DCS, PLC, and SCADA infrastructure on a 4x3 schedule.
As Control Systems Technical Specialist II, you will support the Metallurgy team across multiple Timmins camp sites. Your work covers configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, networking, telemetry, and PI Historian applications. You will also support operations, maintenance, engineering, and projects across processing and mining facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor DCS infrastructure and resolve identified issues
Implement temporary and permanent DCS software changes
Support projects affecting site DCS infrastructure
Assist operations and maintenance issue diagnosis
Perform audits, preventative maintenance, upgrades, and spare validation
Requirements:
At least seven years working with related control systems
Experience with Rockwell AB PLCs and Control Studio 5000
Experience with Schneider Modicon PLCs and Control Expert
Experience with Aveva HMI systems and Wonderware software
Understanding of industrial Ethernet networks and control practices
