Municipal Capital Projects Director
Corp of the County of Hastings
Direct municipal capital projects, budgets, and infrastructure renewal for Hastings County in a permanent full-time, on-site leadership position. Shape County investments.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director leads capital project delivery and strategic infrastructure planning. Responsibilities span departmental operating and capital budgets, building improvements, retrofits, mechanical and energy upgrades, and facility requirements. The position also advises Council on County assets and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and monitor building capital projects and facility improvements
Prepare departmental operating and capital budgets for Finance Committee
Prioritize facility, infrastructure, and capital asset requirements
Advise Council and the CAO on infrastructure matters
Develop facilities maintenance goals, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
Ten years’ experience in facilities operations and construction project management
Five years’ management experience with financial and infrastructure assets
Five years’ experience supervising staff
Four-year related degree or equivalent progressive leadership experience
Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and organizational abilities
