Defence Network Solutions Architect

Lead defence network modernization in Ottawa as an experienced IT Project Architect, primarily onsite, across infrastructure and cybersecurity domains.
At Weir Marine Engineering, you will guide architecture, design, and delivery for a large-scale Defence Network Infrastructure and Systems Modernization initiative. The work spans enterprise networking, compute, storage, virtualization, cloud technologies, systems integration, and secure architecture. You will support solutions aligned with Government of Canada and DND/CAF standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead architecture, design, and technical direction
Develop end-to-end network and infrastructure architectures
Integrate cloud, virtualization, storage, compute, and cybersecurity solutions
Lead architecture reviews, approvals, assessments, and risk management
Collaborate with stakeholders and technical project teams
Requirements:
10+ years in IT architecture or infrastructure modernization
Large-scale complex IT solution architecture experience
Expertise in networking, compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud
Cybersecurity, secure architecture, and Zero Trust knowledge
Canadian citizenship and required residency for Secret clearance
