Transportation Infrastructure Engineer Ontario

Support Ontario transportation infrastructure through roadway geometry, drainage, and coordinated design work with TYLin’s Roads + Highways team.
This hands-on Project Engineer role supports municipal and provincial projects from planning through delivery. You will develop practical roadway designs, prepare coordinated engineering documents, and address interfaces across roadworks, grading, drainage, and utilities. The position also involves technical guidance, approvals coordination, and construction inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake functional, preliminary, and detailed transportation infrastructure designs
Develop design criteria, technical memoranda, specifications, and tender packages
Integrate stormwater management, sewers, watermains, culverts, and utilities
Coordinate municipalities, subconsultants, utility owners, and approving agencies
Support schedules, scope changes, quality control, and project decisions
Requirements:
At least five years of civil or transportation engineering experience
Ontario roadway and highway project experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Current P.Eng. registration with Professional Engineers Ontario
Familiarity with Ontario municipal, provincial, TAC, MTO, and OPS standards
Bring practical transportation design judgment, standards knowledge, and coordination skills to TYLin’s Ontario infrastructure work.
