Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer

Lead manufacturing process improvement at Steelcase using root cause analysis and technical expertise across the product life cycle. Support production directly on the floor.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will introduce new products, improve existing procedures, and provide ongoing manufacturing life-cycle support. You will evaluate processes, manage costs, and support technical solutions across Steelcase operations. The work includes process technology, productivity, profitability, and production continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead new product introductions into the facility
Evaluate processes to improve labor and material costs
Diagnose production problems and implement timely solutions
Lead product, process, and cost-reduction initiatives
Research new processes, equipment, and technologies
Requirements:
Four-year technical degree or equivalent engineering experience
Root cause analysis and corrective action experience
Familiarity with SAP and Windchill ERP systems
Willingness to support production hands-on
Two-plus years of manufacturing experience preferred
