SEO and AI Search Strategist
VERB Interactive Inc.
Lead SEO and AI search strategy at VERB from downtown Halifax, driving visibility across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, and traditional search.
As a Search Strategist, you will own partner strategies end to end across SEO, GEO, and AI-generated answers. This temporary 12-14 month contract requires partner-facing leadership, technical SEO knowledge, and strong analytical communication. You will coordinate integrated search work with strategy leads and specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead partner calls and present reports explaining search recommendations
Develop integrated SEO, GEO, and AI search strategies
Monitor mentions, citations, share of voice, and answer accuracy
Manage local listings, location data, reviews, and Google Business Profiles
Coordinate SEO activities with content, development, project, and vendor teams
Requirements:
Three or more years of SEO or AI search experience
Knowledge of ranking factors, SEO best practices, and AI answer engines
Experience fixing technical SEO issues on WordPress or Drupal
Experience with Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Semrush, and Ahrefs
Knowledge of robots.txt, regular expressions, schema markup, and entity optimization
Bring partner leadership, technical SEO expertise, and AI search knowledge to VERB’s destination, resort, and travel partners.
