Laboratory Electrical Engineer Revit

Design laboratory power and facility systems with Merrick in Kanata, using Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical calculation tools across complex projects.
As an experienced Laboratory / Facility Electrical Engineer, you will support government, university, and private-sector clients. Develop designs, coordinate building systems, interpret codes, and contribute throughout planning, detailed design, and construction administration. The multidisciplinary AEC environment includes architects, engineers, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Design electrical systems for laboratory and facility projects
Develop power, lighting, telecommunications, and life-safety designs
Prepare calculations, technical reports, and project specifications
Coordinate disciplines and deliver work within schedules and budgets
Mentor junior engineers and designers while supporting project delivery
Requirements:
Eight or more years of facility electrical engineering design experience
Four or more years using Revit, AutoCAD, or similar software
Professional Engineer license in Ontario or equivalent
Knowledge of CEC, NBC, CAN/ULC-S534, and IEEE standards
Canadian citizenship or permanent residency with Reliability clearance eligibility
Bring laboratory design expertise, technical judgment, and multidisciplinary coordination skills to Merrick’s Life Sciences team in Kanata.
