Automotive Functional Safety Manager
CS GROUP - Canada
Lead ISO 26262 functional safety engineering for automotive systems with CS Group Canada, supporting hybrid teams in Ontario, Quebec, or Michigan.
This experienced System Safety Manager leads system-level activities across next-generation vehicle development. The work interfaces with OEMs, system integrators, and component suppliers. You will collaborate with Functional Safety Managers and Experts while developing safety work products, analyses, verification, and validation evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Define system context, boundaries, interfaces, and safety-related functions
Develop safety concepts, requirements, plans, and architectures
Perform FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, and safety analyses
Allocate safety requirements across system, hardware, and software
Lead safety verification, validation, testing, and evidence reviews
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related field
10+ years in systems engineering or automotive safety
Hands-on ISO 26262 expertise, especially Parts 4, 5, and 6
Experience developing Item Definitions, HARA, and safety concepts
Knowledge of requirements traceability and compliance assessments
