Staff Electrical Product Development Engineer

Own electrical product development at Broadcom’s Ottawa March Road site, from advanced hardware design through customer trials and sustaining.
As a Staff Hardware Engineer, you will lead a small design team and personally deliver critical parts of complex solutions. The role covers circuit and board design, high-powered systems-on-chip placement, BOM creation, vendor participation, and product validation. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Compliance, Safety, and Sustainability across the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Technically lead a hardware design team
Own electrical engineering design across the product lifecycle
Develop and validate high-performance electronic products
Participate in cross-functional product development activities
Support product sustaining after shipment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Eight or more years of experience
Lifecycle ownership of complex products
Advanced silicon and packaging process knowledge
Deep printed circuit board layout experience
Lead hardware teams while delivering Broadcom products through electrical design, cross-functional development, and lifecycle ownership.
