This Software Engineer II role sits within Information Security and focuses on next-generation customer identity and authentication. You will turn product requirements into backend services for registration, login, authorization, and account lifecycle flows. Your work will connect identity capabilities with web, mobile, and partner applications across B2C and B2B experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Ship smoother login experiences and customer-facing authentication features
Build custom identity integrations for web, mobile, and partner applications
Contribute to design, readable code, automated tests, and reviews
Deploy scoped features to production with team support
Collaborate with engineering and product partners
Requirements:
Demonstrated software development through work, projects, or coursework
Foundational backend development knowledge
Understanding of application programming interfaces and databases
Interest in identity protocols or CIAM platforms
Willingness to learn through mentorship and code review
Bring backend development, secure authentication, API integration, and collaborative engineering skills to Affirm’s identity team.
