Direct mechanical systems development for RCMP Technical Operations, combining research leadership, technical advice, and engineering project management in person.
As Mechanical Research and Development Team Leader, you will lead work supporting the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The position calls for engineering qualifications and extensive experience developing technologies, particularly mechanical systems or devices. You will prepare plans, manage resources, supervise personnel, and advise clients and management while maintaining strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead research and development of mechanical systems
Establish product specifications, project plans, priorities, and timelines
Prepare budgets and supervise personnel
Analyze situations and recommend technical solutions
Maintain partnerships with clients, vendors, and government departments
Requirements:
Relevant engineering degree or professional engineer eligibility
Extensive mechanical engineering project management experience
Significant technical advice and recommendation experience
Recent supervision and financial resource planning experience
Ability to work overtime and travel on short notice
Bring mechanical systems development, resource management, and technical leadership to the RCMP's research and development team.
