This 9-month contract suits an experienced Underwriting Manager guiding commercial small business solutions. You will support underwriters, collaborate with brokers, and work closely with Actuarial and Claims Departments. The position emphasizes operational leadership, coaching, and careful risk evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, document, select, negotiate, and price assigned policies
Customize solutions for commercial small business clients
Develop and maintain professional broker and customer relationships
Coach and mentor underwriting team members
Provide operational leadership and oversee change management
Requirements:
10+ years of property and casualty underwriting experience
Technical, senior, or informal leadership experience
Small business experience considered an asset
Experience overseeing change management
Completed or pursuing CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designations
Bring commercial underwriting expertise, broker partnership, and people-focused leadership to Northbridge’s small business portfolio.
