Corporate Accounting Controller Winnipeg
Edison Properties
Strengthen corporate accounting at Edison Properties in Winnipeg through accurate reporting, complex Excel analysis, and disciplined internal controls. This is a full-time position.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller oversees financial results across Edison Properties’ entities and properties. The position coordinates reconciliations, audits, tax reporting, budgets, and forecasts. It prepares Board and management reports while ensuring records comply with GAAP and supporting operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure consolidated financial results remain accurate and GAAP compliant
Prepare year-end documentation and liaise with external auditors
Oversee CRA, GST, payroll, and Provincial Sales Tax reporting
Develop policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
Analyze variances and trends for senior leadership recommendations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or better in Accounting
Five to seven years of accounting or finance experience
Supervisory experience of two to three years required
Advanced Excel skills with complex spreadsheets and formulas
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
Use corporate reporting, tax compliance, Excel, and internal control expertise to support Edison Properties’ financial operations.
