Material Management Supervisor Procurement

Lead material management and procurement at Fluor, directing purchasing activities, complex negotiations, and project supply execution with technical expertise.
This Supervisor Material Management role oversees purchasing, expediting, or field purchasing functions for projects or regional indirect procurement. You will develop procurement activities, apply Material Management Plans, and manage work processes supporting project requirements and schedules. The position also supervises purchasing, expediting, and support staff while coordinating with management, clients, vendors, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and control assigned purchasing or procurement functions
Develop project purchasing, expediting, or field purchasing activities
Perform material buying and expediting under approved procedures
Supervise purchasing, expediting, and assigned support staff
Negotiate complex equipment and bulk material packages
Requirements:
Four year degree and eight years related experience
Or twelve years education and directly related experience
Effective communication with management, clients, vendors, and contractors
Job related technical knowledge and applicable regulatory awareness
Detail oriented, time conscious, and time effective work approach
