This Staff Software Engineer develops imaging applications for telecommunications laboratory and manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include image enhancement, filtering, detection, discrimination, and integration within embedded systems. Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, debug, and maintain C++ and Python applications
Specify, simulate, test, and verify imaging systems
Develop image enhancement and detection algorithms
Determine hardware compatibility and influence hardware design
Collaborate throughout requirements, integration, and production
Requirements:
Degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field
5+ years of C/C++ and Python software development
3+ years in embedded imaging applications and machine vision
Advanced image processing education and experience
Familiarity with OpenGL, OpenCV, PIL, scikit, NumPy, or CUDA
Bring machine vision, image processing, and embedded software skills to VIAVI systems serving telecommunications test applications.
