Sewer and Watermain Superintendent

Lead sewer and watermain construction for RONI Group across Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, coordinating crews, safety, and field operations.
Reporting to the Director, Eastern Ontario, this Superintendent leads municipal infrastructure and heavy civil projects. The work includes planning crews, equipment, materials, inspections, and deliveries while coordinating with operations, project management, and safety teams. You will deliver work meeting drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct forepersons, operators, labourers, and subcontractors across assigned work areas
Develop daily plans and look-ahead schedules with Project Managers
Supervise watermain, sewer, excavation, backfill, and restoration activities
Coordinate utility locates, permits, inspections, shutdowns, and temporary servicing
Lead safety briefings, inspections, corrective actions, and hazard controls
Requirements:
At least seven years underground water and sewer construction experience
Three years leading crews as superintendent or senior foreperson
Ability to interpret civil drawings, profiles, specifications, and survey information
Knowledge of Ontario safety requirements, OPSS, OPSD, and municipal standards
Valid Ontario Class G licence and ability to travel between assigned sites
Bring underground construction leadership, safety expertise, and watermain and sewer knowledge to RONI Group’s Eastern Ontario projects.
