Pharmacy Assistant Prescription Processing
Walmart
Support prescription processing and patient care at Walmart in Victoria, using data entry, dosage calculations, and accuracy checks. Work in pharmacy operations at 3460 Saanich Road.
The Pharmacy Assistant supports the Pharmacist with technical prescription filling and administrative duties. You will receive prescriptions, assess completeness, interpret written prescriptions, and process computer functions. The work also includes preparing products under supervision, maintaining inventory, supporting OTC operations, and delivering customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive prescriptions and assess required patient and prescriber information
Enter patient data, process refills, and generate reports
Prepare prescriptions under Pharmacist supervision and complete accuracy checks
Maintain drug inventory, orders, shelves, and expired medication checks
Support OTC ordering, stocking, cashier duties, and housekeeping
Requirements:
Ability to follow provincial legal and regulatory conditions
Ability to interpret Latin abbreviations and recognize drug names
Ability to perform dosage calculations and prescription data entry
Ability to complete seven point, visual, and DIN checks
Ability to maintain organized, clean, and safe pharmacy areas
