Medical Laboratory Assistant Phlebotomist

Support laboratory operations as a Medical Laboratory Assistant and Phlebotomist, applying specimen collection and pre-analytic procedures. Regular attendance is required.
This Medical Laboratory Assistant supports pre- and post-analytical tasks, routine technical procedures, and laboratory support activities. The work includes patient registration, order entry, specimen preparation, and information sharing. Horizon also identifies communication, attention to detail, and patient or client focus as important competencies.
Key Responsibilities:

Collect, receive, and prepare specimens
Register patients and enter laboratory orders
Provide information to patients
Perform routine maintenance, decontamination, sterilization, and cleaning
Maintain inventories and complete office duties
Requirements:

Graduate of a Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent
Successfully challenge the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science exam
Attend work regularly
Perform the position's duties
Maintain a good work record
Apply laboratory support, specimen processing, communication, and patient-focused competencies as a Medical Laboratory Assistant and Phlebotomist.
