Commercial Director Construction Contracts

Lead construction commercial strategy at Graham, using contract administration and financial management to guide the Buildings Division across Canada. This senior role oversees commercial performance, risk, and opportunity management.
As Commercial Director, you will direct contractual, commercial, financial, and risk management functions for Graham’s Buildings Division. You will advise project and commercial teams, support profitable delivery, and manage relationships with clients and key stakeholders. The work spans pre-construction and project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead commercial functions across contractual, financial, and risk activities
Oversee project profitability, costs, forecasts, risks, and opportunities
Guide contract reviews, changes, claims, negotiations, and procurement
Develop Commercial team resources and mentor commercial personnel
Maintain relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors, and leadership
Requirements:
Degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or business
Twenty-plus years of construction and commercial management experience
Experience managing contract terms on large-scale projects
Advanced construction contract administration and financial management knowledge
Strong negotiation skills and P3, Design-Build, or EPCM experience
Bring senior contract leadership, financial oversight, and commercial risk expertise to Graham’s Buildings Division and major construction projects.
