Long Term Care Maintenance Person
Regional Municipality of Peel
Support safe, comfortable care environments as a Maintenance Person at Tall Pines, using repair, inspection, and preventative maintenance skills onsite. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Peel Region’s Health Services, Long Term Care division seeks a Maintenance Person reporting to the Facility Supervisor. You will maintain the centre for residents, staff, and visitors while supporting person-centered care. The work includes general repairs, building-system inspections, reports, and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance duties and repairs
Complete routine preventative maintenance throughout the centre
Inspect electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, fire, and safety equipment
Move furniture, equipment, and complete minor renovations
Report hazards and perform required emergency safety measures
Requirements:
High School Diploma
At least three years of general maintenance experience
Effective oral and written communication skills
Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
Physical ability to perform delegated duties
